Cotswold Way is part of the National Trails network, beginning at Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire and ending at Bath, Somerset with some beautiful scenery, historic sites and pretty villages along the way. The full trail length is 102 miles, however there are many shorter linear and circular routes to choose from. The trails can be enjoyed at any time of the year.
If you are a lover of arts and crafts, visit Kelmscott Manor (open between April and October). As it was the Cotswolds retreat of William Morris and his family you can see many of his art collections along with an array of objects owned and designed by Morris. You can visit the Manor House, adjacent barns and the beautiful gardens and enjoy the lovely tearoom.
Visit Sudeley Castle & Gardens (open between March and November)and step back in time, soaking up the vast 1000 year history of Kings and Queens and much more. With exhibitions, an adventure playground, beautiful gardens, St Mary's Church and castle rooms to explore, there is plenty for everyone to enjoy.
Created nearly 200 years ago by a Victorian landowner, Westonbirt Arboretum has become one of the most important plant collections for conservation and research, with 15,000 specimens and 2,500 species of tree from around the world. Explore the 600 acres which has 17 miles of hard and grassy paths. The grounds have two seconds, one which is dog friendly and the other which is dog free.
