Things to do when camping in England
England is home to 10 of the UK’s 15 National Parks including the Norfolk Broads, Peak District and Yorkshire Dales, and our Club campsites are a great base for exploring all the activities they offer. The Lake District is great for walking as well as water sports, containing all of England’s highest mountains, of which the tallest is Scafell Pike, near our Borrowdale Club Campsite.
With over 11,00 miles of coastline, England is perfect for beach holidays, whether you’re after golden sand or steep shingle, peaceful coves or bustling resorts. Stay at Cayton Village Club Campsite to enjoy the North Sea coast including the first seaside resort at Scarborough, or head up to the coast to dramatic Whitby. The North West boasts Blackpool with its famous Tower, Pleasure Beach and Illuminations drawing millions of visitors annually. Head to Brighton on the South Coast, popularised in the 19th century by the Prince Regent, or discover the picturesque coves and great surfing spots of Devon and Cornwall.
Take the whole family away and explore historic cities such as York or London, or discover Warwick Castle, a short walk from our Warwick Racecourse Club campsite.
There’s something for all ages at popular theme parks, whether Thorpe Park or Legoland near Wyatts Covert Club campsite, or Alton Towers, a short drive from Blackshaw Moor Club campsite.
