Our Lightweight Leisure Awards are an annual competition for trailer tents, folding campers and roof tents where manufacturers are invited to submit their products for fair and independent evaluation.  The entrants are judged on their ease of setting up on site, available living area when set up, night time use, technical aspects and many other areas.

Testing for quality so you don't have to

This year, five judges tested 41 vehicles, these Awards recognise good design and ease-of-use qualities.  Four judges rigorously assessed the vehicles following a 46-point scoring checklist.  Testing takes place during the Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show at the NEC in February.

Once again the Lightweight Leisure Awards welcomed roof tents for evaluation alongside trailer tents and folding campers.  Manufacturers are invited to submit vehicles for evaluation.

Entries by Brand

The ARB Esperance 2 has black canvas and a red hard shell roof. Its windows are open. It is displayed on a red car.
The Cabanon Chamonix has brown canvas with yellow trim. It has a curved design. There is a deck chair outside the awning with an information stand next to it. The tent is fully furnished with a table set for dinner.
The Campmaster One Motion has a black base and its canvas is also black. There are many windows. There are two blue chairs in the extended canopy.
The Dometic TRT 140 AIR is displayed on a silver Volkswagen. It has grey and white canvas and has an annex to the rear of the vehicle. The tent is sitting on top of two roof bars.
The Escapade 4x4 Summit has a two tone green canvas. It has a black ladder to gain access. It is displayed on a bronze car.
The Camp-Let Earth has coffee and cream coloured canvas. The dining table with four chairs is at the front, to the rear the bedroom doors are open. There is an annex with the kitchen set up.
The Jamet Eco has a curved design. There are two chairs in the awning. The door to the trailer tent is open.
The Latitude Tents Explorer has black canvas and has platform. There is a black ladder to gain access. It is displayed on a white 4x4 vehicle.
The OPUS Voyager is pale green and has brown canvas. There are two chairs outside the unit.
The Raclet Solena has a coffee and cream exterior, the front door is open.
The Roof Space 4 has black canvas with strip lighting in the tent. There is a black ladder to gain access. The tent opens fully. It is displayed on a trailer.
The RoofBunk Explorer has green canvas, it has a green ladder in order to gain easy access.
The SkyPod Lite is displayed on a Kia vehicle. It has black canvas walls and has turquoise flashes around it. There are three support rods by the window. There is a black ladder.
TentBox Lite 2.0 has orange canvas with a black canvas roof. It has a platform. It is shown on a vehicle with orange roof rails. Its door is open.
The Trigano Nebra has cream and brown canvas. It has a curved structure. There are two green chairs in the awning area which has a faux grass mat. The entrance door to the living area is open.
The TUFFTREK® Sahara-X Hybrid Roof Tent has yellow and black canvas, its hard shell roof is black. The door and windows open fully as shown.
