Why stay here ...

This small simple site is owned by an enthusiastic and friendly young couple, Jeanne and Romain, who are keen to make every guest's time with them as enjoyable as possible. They are investing in the campsite and introducing their own style, with an old school bus that serves as reception and a large fenced area with a dog exercise park for those travelling with their furry companions. The nearby lake area and protected natural park has walking paths and birdwatching opportunities, this provides the perfect stop over for those travelling with dogs.

It is worth noting that the facilities are unisex, however this is only in low season, they are dated but clean and in good working order.  Onsite you can enjoy a game of boules and there is a play area and table tennis for the kids.

Nearby there is the charming medieval town of La Ferté Bernard which is within walking distance of the site. Here you can take an electric boat trip through the canals, hence the nickname of "Venice of the West" and have a coffee or a meal in one of the many cafes and restaurants. Its a delightful small town full of interesting architecture and well worth a visit as you are travelling south or on your way home.
