It is worth noting that due to it's location, during the warmer months, there can be a lot of mosquitos in the area, the site is situated in a area of natural beauty where the use of chemicals is not allowed, therefore do stock up on repellent before you go.

Less than an hour drive away, Nimes and its rich Roman history, picturesque medieval walled Aigues Mortes and Saintes Maries de La Mer in the heart of the Camargue Natural Reserve are all well worth day trips.
