Glenda and Gwyn welcome you to Furnace Farm CL Site. This rural location, overlooking stunning scenery has a tranquil vibe in the quaint village of Furnace in North Ceredigion. Our site has been successfully run for a very long time. Recently, our ‘Heart and Soul’ has updated and modernised the site. The amenities are modern that enhance comfort, convenience and pleasure to all. As a family, we are passionate and moving on, but importantly, not losing touch with the happy atmosphere that is here. We stride in making everyone feel welcomed, in a space you can unwind amidst nature.

Our site has easy access to the main A487 with an hourly bus service on the door step to connect you to North and South. The neighbouring village of Tre’r Ddol is only 2 miles away has a vibrant community run shop and cafe selling locally grown produce. EV charging points are available here. Also, the Wildfowler pub is located here and offers excellent food.

This area of Wales is an enthusiast 's paradise with many walking routes and the Welsh Coastal Path is just on the doorstep and plentiful places for dog walking. This is a wonderful location for mountain biking and water sports with the Ceredigion coastline. Ynyslas sand dunes and seaside resort of Borth is only a short distance away.

Furnace is surrounded by a beautiful rural landscape and a stunning waterfall. The village is named after the furnace which was originally constructed around 1755 for smelting iron ore, with fuel obtained from local woods and stored upstairs in the building.

Neighbouring the local Ynys-Hir RSPB bird reserve means you will definitely need to bring your binoculars!

The Dyfi Osprey Project is one of Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust’s flagship projects based on our Cors Dyfi Reserve near Machynlleth on the west coast of mid Wales, is a great place to visit and take the whole family. Excellent food is also served here.

If you are ready for an immersive culinary experience Ynyshir is an out of this world dining experience, you must book ahead though.

Discover the historic market town of Machynlleth which is only a short drive away has a flurry of visitors attending the market every Wednesday. It has a supermarket, post office, railway and vast number of restaurants. King Arthur’s Labyrinth is just up the road from here or spend the day on the Tal-y-Llyn Railway or in the delightful harbour village of Aberdovey, with its pubs, restaurants and lovely sandy beaches.

The University coastal town of Aberystwyth is in the opposite direction with its dolphin spotting in the summer months, Cliff Railway and Steam Railway to Devil Bridge Falls.

Our grass pitches which are spacious and have 16amp electric hookups. The field is lawned frequently. We have recently built a fabulous new toilet and shower block and outdoor laundry and washing up area. All done to a very high standard for our guests and kept immaculately. There is an outdoor recycling, general waste, food waste and glass area.
Items must be disposed and separated into the designated bins. Thank you.
No electric car charging. Enclosed dog run area available.

Furnace Farm has a flock of our native breed of Welsh Mountain sheep that graze the surrounding fields who look forward in seeing our visitors. Our site is certainly a beautiful place for a holiday with its glorious views and walks.
