A caravan and Motorhome club certificated site. Secure fenced and gated all year round.

This newly created 5 pitch touring location with views across fields and hedges was previously well-drained flat meadow land. Offering hard standing pitches, drinking water, 16amp electric hook up point and grey water drain per pitch.

The site is intended for adults, and well-behaved dogs are most welcome. It includes a fenced and gated dog walk, a picnic area with tables and benches overlooking a reed filled pond.

A stay includes access to a bicycle repair and storage shed for minor repairs and storage.

The site is accessed from Butts Road, which is part of the “Cycle Route 1” and is designated a quiet road.

There is also a toilet facility, wash basin, and shower cubical.

The site offers low level lighting to preserve the “Dark Sky” Suffolk, known as one of the best locations in the UK.

This paddock part of the grounds around “Moat House Farm” the Suffolk long house built in 1530 is now surrounded by orchards and gardens. The moat is thought to predate the house possibly as early as the 10th century & surrounds the house on 3 sides. The area is mentioned in the Domesday Book. The site is next to Moat Farm 3-acre private gardens which can be open by request.

The fields off the farm were some of the last examples of strip farming, and some 140 meters had two pairs of horses.

The only visible road from the site was the Roman ‘stone street’, now called the Bungay straits by the locals.

The village church is a 12th century part thatched containing many important early artifacts.

The local farmland is maintained by the Tynholm estate which mostly grows cereals but previously grew soft fruits for jam production on the Tyn.

Within walking distance there are many footpaths and cycle routes.

The Racehorse community owned pub is within walking distance and also offers meals and snacks.

Further afield are the nature reserves, at RSPB Minsmere and Otford Nation Trust.

By car there are the local Towns of Halesworth with many pubs and restaurants, then across the A12 is Southwold, the home of Adnams Brewery. Further down the A12 is Woodbridge, the home of the Anglo-Saxon burial mound Luton Hoo. Then the medieval towns of Beccles and Bungay all have numerous festivals and events year-round.

In July, the Henham estate holds the Latitude festival and Westhall holds it's annual pumpkin and apple festival in October.

In order to keep out guests happy we only offer a one-off fee of £38.00 per night per pitch which includes electricity for up to 4 guests an additional £5.00 per person thereafter.
