Welcome to Your Peaceful North Norfolk Retreat!
Nestled in the quiet heart of North Norfolk, our location offers the perfect balance of rural tranquillity and easy access to the region’s finest attractions.
Just a 20-minute drive takes you to the stunning North Norfolk coastline, home to the traditional seaside towns of Sheringham and Cromer—famous for its iconic pier.
A little further along the coast lies Wells-next-the-Sea, beloved for its expansive sandy beach and charming harbour town.
Prefer to explore the city? A 20-minute drive in the opposite direction brings you to the heart of historic Norwich. Here, you can wander through the famous medieval open-air market, visit Norwich Castle, and take in the architecture of both the medieval Anglican Cathedral and the magnificent Gothic Roman Catholic Cathedral of St John the Baptist.
Right on our doorstep, you can enjoy great local dining at our two village pubs: The Bell Inn, a welcoming, family-friendly spot, and The Ratcatchers, ideal for a chic and cosy meal out.
Cawston itself is steeped in local history. It is home to the Duel Stone, which marks the site of Norfolk's last duel in 1698. The surrounding area is a paradise for walkers and dog owners, crisscrossed with scenic public rights-of-way. Explore the natural beauty of Cawston Heath or join Marriott’s Way—a picturesque walking and cycling route along a former railway line that connects the lovely market towns of Reepham and Aylsham. The historic National Trust estate of Blickling Hall, mentioned in the Domesday Book and famous as the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, is also just moments away.
Whether you are seeking a peaceful escape to unwind or a central base to explore everything Norfolk has to offer, we would love to host you. Please give us a call to book your stay—we look forward to welcoming you soon!
