Ilfracombe Club Campsite can be found in an elevated position, three miles inland from Ilfracombe and the North Devon coast. This site has superb scenic views of the north and west coasts as well as inland landscapes towards Dartmoor. It is ideally placed for you to enjoy the soft, sandy beaches at Woolacombe, Saunton Sands and Croyde or the dramatic coastline. Within a short drive you’ll find small, intimate villages, each with their own charming churches, and the cosmopolitan seaside town of Ilfracombe with its pretty harbour and plenty of dining options. Ilfracombe Club Campsite is also perfectly situated to enjoy boat trips across to Lundy Island.
Exmoor with over 600 miles of bridleways and footpaths is convenient for walkers and is regularly punctuated with historic sites. The heather rich moorland will inspire you with its tranquillity and beauty, while the countryside that surrounds the site is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including red deer and birdlife. Ilfracombe Club Campsite, with its peaceful location, makes for a perfect base to take time out from the bustle of daily life.
Please note: This site does not have a toilet block. Reception at this site closes at 6pm - latest arrival time is 8pm. If you will be arriving between 6pm - 8pm, please contact the site during the day of arrival before 6pm. The site team will be happy to provide you with your check in information.

Leave the M5 at junction 27 and follow signposts to Barnstaple (A361), North Devon Link road (do not turn off A361 before Barnstaple). At Barnstaple use A361 outer relief road signposted Ilfracombe, Bideford and follow the A361 (signposted Ilfracombe). At Mullacott Cross roundabout turn right onto A3123. In about 1 mile turn right at the caravan sign (signposted West Down). The Site is on the left in 1 mile. Please only use these recommended directions for the final approach and not sat nav, due to alternative routes being unsuitable for towing. Do not tow along any of the minor roads through West Down from A361.
